The New York City Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual wanted in connection with an assault on a BX39 bus in the Bronx earlier this month.
According to police, the incident occurred on Saturday, Dec. 14, at approximately 10:10 a.m. A 37-year-old woman was riding the BX39 bus near 865 East 241 Street when she was approached by an unknown individual. Following a verbal dispute, the individual allegedly punched the victim in the face before fleeing northbound on East 241 Street.
The victim was transported to NYC Health and Hospitals/North Central Bronx, where she was treated for injuries and is reported to be in stable condition.
The NYPD has released media related to the suspect and is encouraging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
