NYPD investigates shooting at Jackson Houses apartments

Police are investigating a daytime shooting at the Jackson Houses that happened over the weekend within the 40th Precinct.

The NYPD reported that an unknown man approached a 34-year-old man, shooting him once in each of his legs before fleeing in an unknown near direction near 285 East 156 St. at about 2:41 p.m. on Sunday, June 7.

That suspect was described by police as being Black, 20-25 years old with a beard and mustache.

He was last seen wearing a dark colored hooded sweatshirt with a light colored pattern on the front, dark colored pants and light colored sneakers, the NYPD noted.

The victim was removed to NYC Health + Hospitals/Lincoln in stable condition.
