Last month, in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, New York Hair Salon hosted ‘A Day of Beauty’, an annual event that raises funds for breast cancer research and treatment. The event recognizes New York Hair Salon employee and event organizer Luz Rios, also a breast cancer survivor. Food and desserts were donated by Ice House Cafe, Euro Products, Travesias, DaFranco & Tony’s, Hutchinson Metro Center’s Applebee’s, Cake It Easy and Whoopies Miniature Desserts, while the Tasty Ladies of NY donated a case of pink champagne and helped plan the event. All proceeds from the event were donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation.
