Montefiore Einstein’s Wakefield Campus hosted a community health fair for expectant and post-partum families on Wednesday, May 21.
Maternal and child health experts from the hospital were on hand to help share educational information and resources with those in attendance. They were joined in these efforts by community partners.
Among the topics that Montefiore providers covered at the fair were breastfeeding and pre-eclampsia. The providers included lactation consultants, registered nurses, social workers and community partners.
Community partners for the event included the New York Milk Bank, the New York City Department of Transportation, Bronx Healthy Start Partnership and the Bronx Health Link.
