MLS welcomed to the Bronx by 161st BID

Soccer fans have their faces painted with NYC Fan Club tattoos before Major League Soccer tips off its season at Yankee Stadium.

The 161st Street BID, along with other local businesses and civic organizations welcomed Major League Soccer to Yankee Stadium by hosting a soccer game at the Jeter Meter, located at Rivera Avenue and East 161st Street to kick off the season on Thursday, March 12. For the season’s premiere game soccer was welcomed to the Bronx with street banners and souvenirs provided by the 161st Street BID. Face painting also took place outside before the event.
