Letter: Cannabis dispensary applications in CB10

The following is an open letter to state Sen. Nathalia Fernandez published at the request of the author.

Dear Senator Fernandez,

Are you aware that there are now two applications for a New York dispensary licenses at 68 and 70 Westchester Square — two different names. In addition, a short distance from these two locations is 3102 E. Tremont Ave. Community Board 10 already approved one dispensary. I would have thought there is a limit on how many can open in each community board?

This is the height of saturation. How is this even competitive? It is ludicrous. Please find out how the New York State agency can allow this? Community Board 10 has to have hearings and vote on this. As your constituent and a member of CB10, more information is welcome on this matter.
