Klein, Gjonaj & Benedetto Celebrate Black History Month

Senator Jeff Klein, in partnership with assembly members Mark Gjonaj and Michael Benedetto, celebrated the 22nd annual Black History Month Breakfast on Saturday, February 25 at Villa Barone Manor.

The event featured a lively performance by the Trinity Baptist Choir, a keynote address district attorney Darcel Clark and an awards ceremony for special honorees.

This year honored 43rd Precinct sergeant William Jean Baptiste, Clason Point Gardens community activist Dolores Biggs, Mount Vernon Parent Teacher Association Council president Lorna Kirwan, former Community Board 8 district manager Patricia Manning and Community Board 10 chairman Martin Prince.
