The Fordham Road Business Improvement District has been announced as a finalist of the 2009 American Business Awards in the Corporate Literature Category.
The BID’s Passport to Fordham Road Advantage Program brochure was named as a Best Marketing or Sales Brochure or Kit finalist.
The main goal of the annual Fordham Road Advantage Program, now in its third year, is to attract local students and employees of neighboring colleges and institutions to the area by offering shopping incentives, namely discounts at area businesses.
To meet the marketing and community growth goals of this program, the BID designed and produced a dedicated booklet titled the Passport to Fordham Road, a 24 page color brochure which includes historical information and past and present photos of Fordham Road.
It also includes a complete listing of the 84 currently participating businesses.
To date, the BID has distributed nearly 50,000 copies of this publication.
