The Farrand Building is the latest piece of what was Our Lady of Mercy Medical Center to become part of the Montefiore family.
The 40,000 square foot building, located at 4401 Bronx Boulevard, had been operated by OLM as a rehabilitation center providing substance abuse services and counseling. It was also used for medical research.
According to a Montefiore Medical Center spokesman, the building will have the same use and service the same populations that it did when it was part of Our Lady of Mercy.
