Eastchester Heights holds 16th annual tree lighting ceremony

Eastchester Heights held its 16th annual Tree Lighting Ceremony on Friday, Dec. 6.

The celebration featured refreshments such as cookies, donuts, and hot chocolate, along with free gifts and plenty of entertainment. Performances by local young adults and Eastchester Heights youths delighted attendees, and Santa Claus made a special appearance to meet with children. Guests who braved the cold were treated to a large cup of hot chocolate as a warm reward

Representatives for local officials were also on hand for the Tree Lighting Ceremony. Eastchester Heights Community Center Director Pamela Johnson spoke about the excitement of being able to bless the Bronx community with this holiday event.
