Visitors traveled far and wide to catch a whiff of the infamous ‘Corpse Flower’ that bloomed on Friday, July 29 at the New York Botanical Garden’s Enid A. Haupt Conservatory. Known as ‘Amorphophallus titanum’, the massive flower gets its nickname from its distinctive odor which attracts pollinators that feed on dead animals.
