More than 15 young adult New York City Housing Authority residents joined Councilman Ritchie Torres Tuesday, March 8 in painting murals on Castle Hill Community Center’s vacant walls. Led by Groundswell and supported by council funds, this imaginative project is part of the new ‘Public Art/Public Housing Initiative’ which aims to create murals providing inspirational messages and public housing experiences at public housing developments throughout the five boroughs.
