At a historic ceremony on the anniversary of Kristallnacht, Calvary Hospital dedicated a restored 135-year-old Torah scroll on Wednesday, November 9 following its yearlong preservation effort. A Holocaust survivor itself, the scroll, No. 515, is originally from the town of Taus-Domazlice now located in the Czech Republic. It has been on permanent loan to the hospital from the Memorial Scrolls Trust in London since 1988.
