Businessman Fatally Shoots Man At Simply Seafood

A man was fatally shot outside of an Allerton seafood restaurant during a fight with the owner. According to police, Mount Vernon resident Lorenzo Daley, 29, accompanied his wife, a former employee, on Friday, September 29 to pick up her last pay check at Simply Seafood when he got into an argument with owner Kenton Connerly, 49, regarding her pay. The dispute poured out into the street where Connerly allegedly drew a gun and shot Daley in his neck around 7:30 p.m. Police officers from the 49th Precinct responded immediately to the scene on 2542 White Plains Road where they discovered a wounded Daley. Daley was rushed to Jacobi Medical Center, but succumbed to his injuries. Connerly, a Port Chester resident, was arrested and charged with murder and criminal possession of a weapon.
