The 100th anniversary of the Bronx as a borough was celebrated at Bronx Community College’s Rotunda and Hall of Fame for Great Americans on Tuesday, October 7. The centennial celebration bridged history and the present day. It included a program that focused on the story about how the Bronx became a borough of New York City, what that meant in 1914, and what it still means today. Borough President Diaz, Jr. spoke at the occasion.
