“Introducing free registration is a pivotal step in how we connect with our audience,” said Frank Callan, Head of Growth at Schneps Media.
“By logging in, readers aren’t just getting unlimited access to vital local journalism; they are helping us build a stronger, more engaged digital community here in the Bronx,” Callan added. “Registered users will be able to access advanced features, including our community commenting platform, in the near future.”
To access articles on BXTimes.com, readers will be prompted to create a free account by using google sign-in or just providing an email address and password—that’s it. No paywall.
Once registered, readers receive free, unlimited access to in-depth coverage and investigations into local politics, transit, housing and health issues impacting the borough, such as the “Our Forgotten Borough” series.
Registration will also help highlight community voices and the experiences of local families, friends and neighbors, keeping readers connected to the people and issues shaping their neighborhoods.
In addition, registered users can take advantage of curated guides to local events, arts and culture, making it easier to discover things to do across the borough.
“Our goal is to give Bronx residents a seamless, customized reading experience,” Callan said.
