Let’s get ready to rumble for a good cause! ‘Brawl in the Bronx,’ a Saturday, January 30 amateur boxing show benefitting a local family experiencing a loved one’s loss was held at the Willis Avenue Boxing Club. Hosted by Main Street Boxing, this charity event’s 12 amateur boxing matches featured boys, girls, men and women from various weight classes competing in a sports event sanctioned by USA Boxing. Brawl in the Bronx honored the memory of the late Hafiz Doupo, a 16-year-old member of the High School for Medical Science family who passed away in December and was loved by many in the community. Following the event, a championship belt was presented to the Doupo family.
