Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. had a busy Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Day on Monday, January 15. He began the day hosting the borough’s annual Interfaith Service at Trinity Baptist Church, which served as the event’s co-sponsor, to commemorate the 50th anniversary of Dr. King’s death and honor the slain civil rights leader’s message of peace and unity. The borough president also attended an afternoon service honoring Dr. King at Union Grove Missionary Baptist Church and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church’s Dr. King celebration in Brooklyn.
