Over 50 members including guests and honorees attended the inaugural Bharati Project-Mothers and Daughters Recognition Ceremony at the Residence Inn by Marriott. Inspired by her mother, Bharati Kemraj founded the Bharati Project in January to encourage mothers and daughters to teach, empower and support sisterhood while bringing about change in the community and daily life. This year’s honorees were Danielle and Madison Chin; Makaya Griffiths; Valerie Diaz; Sophia Rivera; Magdalena Figueroa; Danalys and Laura Adrianna Nazario; Sulma, Suleni Sabio and Bella-Victoria Arzu-Brown; Krishnawate and Sarah Nadira Dilchand; Christina P. Kemraj; Irene Guanill; Anjanie, Anjali, Karishma, Rani and Rudra Latchman.
