Runners made a mad dash through Hunts Point‘s Riverside Park for the tenth annual Hunts Point Hustle 5K Run/Walk on Saturday, October 1. The annual race supports and celebrates the work of Sustainable South Bronx, a division of the HOPE Program, which makes the Bronx and NYC more environmentally and economically sustainable through green jobs training and placement and transitional employment opportunities in green construction and maintenance. Unique to this year’s celebration was free community rowing for all participants courtesy of Rocking the Boat.

First and second place winners, Yonas Woldesellassie (r) and Deklu Demeke were neck and neck crossing the finishing line.
