Council members Ritchie Torres and James Vacca awarded a proclamation to Sonja Melendez, the tenants association vice president of 3555 Bruckner Boulevard on Monday, March 28 for her work in mobilizing the building’s residents to aid the approximately 90 victims of this past winter’s six-alarm fire at 2086 Valentine Avenue.
