Several Injured In Multi-Vehicle Bruckner Collision

Several people are recovering following a multi-vehicle collision on the Bruckner Expressway. According to police, 45th Precinct police officers responded to a 911 call of a motor vehicle accident on the southbound Bruckner Expressway at East Tremont Avenue on Tuesday, August 6 at 10:21 a.m. Upon arrival, police were informed that a 2015 Toyota traveling southbound on the Bruckner Expressway in the right lane of three at East Tremont Avenue had failed to observe a stopped 2015 Volvo tractor trailer. The 2015 Toyota moved into the center lane in unsafe manner colliding with a 2016 Ford causing the Ford to travel into the left lane and colliding into a 2008 Mercedes-Benz which pushed the vehicle into the cement divider. A 34-year-old man operating the 2015 Toyota was taken to Bronx Municipal Hospital Center by EMS with minor injuries. Police issued the driver a summons for an unsafe lane change. The 2016 Ford’s 45-year-old male driver and a 49-year-old male passenger and the 2008 Mercedes-Benz’s 63-year-old female driver were taken to Bronx Municipal Hospital Center by EMS with minor injuries. The 2015 Volvo tractor trailer’s 45-year-old driver was unharmed in the collision.
