To commemorate Co-op City’s 50th anniversary, the Co-op City History Committee and residents hosted ‘Pioneer Day’ on Saturday, June 22 to honor the original cooperators, ‘pioneers,’ for laying out the strong foundation of the community and thanking them. The special occasion featured live musical performances by Metropolitan Klezmer, Sky Caldwell, Soul Latin Line Dancer and The Lickety Split Band.
