Over 300 Bronxites laced up their dancing shoes and partied for a purpose on Saturday, June 1 at Relay for Life of the Bronx at The Mall at Bay Plaza. This annual year’s featured the theme ‘Dancing Towards a Cure for Cancer’ and raised approximately $50,000 in funds for cancer research, free rides to treatment, and free patient lodging – all supported by the American Cancer Society. The Relay For Life movement inspires the Bronx community to celebrate people who have been touched by cancer, remember loved ones lost, and take action for lifesaving change.
