The 49th Precinct Community Council saluted several unsung heroes from the community and law enforcement at its 31st annual Fellowship Breakfast and Awards on Friday, May 24 at Maestro’s Caterers. This year’s non-precinct honorees included Thomas Twyman Citizen of the Year Award recipient Silvio Mazzella and Fellowship Award recipient Bronx Jewish Council of Pelham Parkway.

Law enforcement personnel from the 49th Precinct formally recognized were Cop of the Year police officer Patrick McGovern, Police Administrative Aide of the Year Joanne Alberty, Auxiliary Police Officer of the Year sergeant Eduardo Caraballo and Explorer of the Year lieutenant Somaia Herrati.

The Bronx Jewish Council of Pelham Parkway received the 49th Precinct’s Fellowship Award.
