42nd Precinct

Friday, May 3 at 10:20 a.m. — The NYPD is asking the public’s assistance in identifying an individual depicted in a picture (see photo) taken inside of a 99 cent store at 1690 Boston Road.

This individual placed a radio inside of a small bag he carried across his chest, and then tried to leave the store without paying for it. When a 56-year-old female employee tried to prevent him from leaving, the individual punched her in the face and ran outside. Three male employees followed the individual onto the sidewalk where he punched two of them in the face and then fled on foot westbound on Boston Road.

The individual is described as a black man in his 20s, 5’9” tall and weighing 150 pounds. He was last seen wearing a black, red and white hooded sweater, black sweatpants and black sneakers.

43rd Precinct

Friday, April 26 at 11:20 p.m. — The NYPD is asking the public’s assistance identifying three men (see photo) wanted in connection with a criminal recklessness incident where shots were fired.

Cops got a report of an unidentified man firing several shots in the direction of another group of men standing on the northeast corner of Beach Ave and Guerlain Street. No injuries were reported as a result of this incident.

The person wanted for questioning is described as a male wearing an aqua green rain coat and blue jeans.

44th Precinct

Monday, April 1 at 3:02 p.m.The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in ascertaining the whereabouts of an unidentified male (see photo) in connection with a robbery.

A 60-year-old man working inside of a pharmacy store, Rite Choice at 39 to 41 E. 170th Street, observed an unidentified man put a bar of soap into his pants. When the employee confronted the individual, the unidentified man punched him in the face several times causing an abrasion to the left side of the face. The individual made a clean get away with the soap, valued at $5.29. The victim refused medical attention.

Friday, April 19 at 12:00 p.m. -The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual in connection to a burglary.

Cops got a report that an unidentified individual who entered 99 E. 149th Street, the location of a BP gas station, by damaging a window in the rear of the building. Once inside, this individual removed various automotive tools and fled in an unknown direction. The property has an estimated value of $10,000.

Police are looking to identify this individual in connection with a robbery at a pharmacy in the 44th Precinct on Monday, April 1.

The individual is described a male Hispanic in his 20s or his 30s. He was last seen wearing white sneakers, a dark jacket and red shorts.

Surveillance video was taken from inside the incident location during the incident. The NYPD investigation is ongoing.

48th Precinct

Saturday, April 27 at 11:36 a.m. — Police officers responded to a person shot outside of 1899 Belmont Avenue. When they arrived on the scene, they found a 23-year-old man with multiple gunshot wounds to the torso and back. EMS took the man to St. Barnabas Hospital where he was pronounced deceased. He was identified as a 23-year-old man who lived in the community. The investigation is ongoing.

52nd Precinct

Sunday, April 28 at 3:35 p.m.– The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual (see photo) in connection with a robbery.

The incident began when the individual tried to pay for a pack of t-shirts with a counterfeit $20 bill inside of a store at 368 E. Gun Hill Road. When a 35-year-old male employee ran a counterfeit detector over the bill, the man tried to take the bill back and then walk out of the store with the merchandise. The employee gave chase to the individual in front of the store, where the man attempting to make the purchase with the counterfeit bill punched him in the face many times. The individual then fled the scene on foot, heading northbound on Decatur Avenue. The store employee suffered a laceration on his face and was treated on the scene by EMS.

The individual police seek to identify is a black man who is between 20-years-old and 35-years-old and 6’0” tall. He had a mustache. This individual was last seen wearing a black hooded sweater with dots all over it, a black baseball cap with yellow lettering on the front, a dark colored jacket, black sweatpants and yellow boots.
