Councilman Andy King hosted his fifth annual State of the District Address and his 12 Bronx Women of Excellence Event on Monday, March 12 at Academy for Scholarship and Entrepreneurship. In honor of Women’s History Month, the councilman presented the 12th District Women of Excellence Award to Stephanie C. Woods; Sharan Wright; Academy for Scholarship and Entrepreneurship principal Zenobia White- DaCruz; Sherri Lynn Yancey; Rita Henry; Mary Fredericks McCloud; Michelle Marbury; Felicia Forbes; Afua Afriye-Fullwood, Esq.; Emma Harper Miller; Avril Francis and Maranda Ashkar.
