Police Investigate PB Shooting

Police need your help solving an apparently random shooting outside of a Pelham Bay bank.

According to the 45th Precinct, police officers responded to a call of a weapon discharged outside of a Capital One Bank at 3049 Buhre Avenue on Tuesday, March 6 at 1:45 p.m.

Upon arrival, police recovered seven shell casings from a .40 caliber handgun lying on the street in front of the bank.

No injuries were reported, however a parked Honda Accord sustained gunshots to its front driver’s side panel.

It was not confirmed if the car was targeted by the gunman.

Police stated that the incident is not being investigating as a bank robbery.

No suspect has been identified or arrested following the incident.
