Children with diabetes who receive care at the Children’s Hospital at Montefiore brought their stash of trick-or-treat goodies to the fifth annual Halloween Candy Exchange to swap it for a toy or gift card on Wednesday, November 1.
The event encouraged kids with diabetes to still participate in fun holidays with their peers, but not overindulge in the chocolate and candy collection.
