Several local fathers and their children got their ‘just desserts’ participating in a cooking competition.

Fathers from P.S. 1 and M.S. 29 showcased their culinary talents at the ‘Real Dads Cook’ competition on Wednesday, April 5 as part of the responsible fatherhood initiative sponsored by Administration for Children’s Services, Fathers Forward, the Bronx Fatherhood Coalition and Deeds Driven Dads with the desserts presented for judging, looking and tasting incredible.

Dads also engaged in discussion led by national fatherhood advocate coach Stevan Lynn regarding the importance of fathers cooking for their children on a regular basis, starting with basic dishes which are easy to prepare and nutritous.
