Vishnu Mandir Hindu Temple congregants, Bharati Dance Academy and Hindus from all around NYC celebrated Holi, the Festival of Colors recognizing good over evil and the start of spring on Sunday, March 12.

The vibrant celebration often referred to as either ‘Holi’ or ‘Phagwah’, is observed by the sprinkling of ‘gulal’, multicolored powder or colored water on each other symbolizing the breaking down of all barriers of discrimination so everyone looks the same.

Bharati Kemraj (front, l), Bharati Dance Academy founder, and Vishnu Mandir Hindu Temple members sported some vibrant springtime colors and smiles.
