Award-winning poet and author Peggy Robles-Alvarado debuted her third book, ‘The Abuela Stories Project’ with a book launch on Thursday, December 8 in the Bronx Museum of the Arts.

Alvardo, one of this year’s Bronx Times 25 Bronx Influential Women honorees, partnered with Bronx-based visual artist and photographer Daisy Arroyo to capture grandmothers as artists, dancers, drummers and rebels redefining themselves.

The project was made possible through Robleswrites Productions and public funds from the Bronx Council on the Arts through the Department of Cultural Affairs’ Greater New York Arts Development Fund Program.
