The New York Botanical Garden got into the Halloween spirit hosting ‘Creepy Creatures of Halloween’, a special Columbus Day weekend presentation from Saturday, October 8 through Monday, October 10 at the Clay Family Picnic Pavilions.

The spooktacular presentation showcased several species of bats including a big brown North American bat, the endangered Rodrigues bat and the gigantic Malaysian flying fox.

Rob Mies, Organization for Bat Conservation and Save the Bats executive director, introduced the audience to a gigantic Malaysian flying fox.
