Borough Commander chief Larry Nikunen was called on multiple times by the mayor to help answer questions regarding homelessness and quality of life issues.
Anthony Vitaliano, Community Board 11 chairman, discussed the Pelham Parkway North reconstruction during the meeting.
John Cerini, Throggs Neck Merchant Association treasurer, debated at length with Councilman Vacca and Mayor de Blasio about plans to alter traffic lanes on East Tremont Avenue.
Tony Salimbene (c), Theodore Korony American Legion Post 253 commander and Community Board 10 second vice chairman, commended the NYPD and the mayor’s office.
Tony Signorile, Morris Park Community Association president, asked the mayor for assistance in making the Columbus Day Parade route three blocks longer and in clearing snow from small streets during the winter season.

Hundreds of community members attended Mayor de Blasio’s town hall meeting on Wednesday, August 10 at the Villa Barone Manor to discuss various topics affecting the Bronx. Some residents commended the mayor on his service to the borough while others expressed concerns over local issues such as the planned East Tremont Avenue lane reductions, homelessness and quality of life crimes.
