In honor of Memorial Day, the Bronx remembered local and national veterans who gave their all to defend our country. Hosted by the Co-op City American Legion Post 1871 and Riverbay Corp., the annual Memorial Day ceremony was held on Sunday, May 29 at Harley J. Moseley Park. Veterans, residents and local elected officials attended the event which featured a spectacular performance by the Transit Authority Drums and Bagpipes. Post 1871 Honor Guard raised the colors, played the sounds of ‘Taps’, laid a wreath at the memorial and performed a 21-gun salute to honor the bravery and sacrifice of our nation’s service members.
