Couniclman Ritchie Torres lit the Arthur Avenue Christmas tree at Ciccarone Park in honor of the holiday season.
Although the lighting ceremony was originally cancelled due to security concerns, Torres along with the Belmont Business Improvement District was able to secure additional financial resources to keep the tradition afloat.
The additonal resources from his budget went towards the Christmas tree, hot drinks for children and families, and entertainment while security guard remained on patrol to ensure safety.
