Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. joined famed singer-songwriter, actress and LGBT activist, Cyndi Lauper on Tuesday, September 22 to celebrate the grand opening of True Colors, a new shelter for homeless LGBT youth. The borough president provided $250,000 in capital funding towards this project located in Bedford Park.
