A new spa is bringing the luxury of salons on Park and Fifth avenues to the Bronx.

Tatiana Day Spa, located at Suite 150 inside the Hutchinson Metro Center Atrium, is ready for customers after it opened a month ago on Monday, May 4.

The shop’s founder and owner, Tatiana Nistreanu, opened her third branch and first in the Bronx after previously running her two namesake spas at the Westchester Marriott Hotel and the DoubleTree by Hilton in Tarrytown successfully.

The spa offers a variety of treatments involving hair, nails, facials, massage and bridal.

Most body treatment and massage sessions last for 45-55 minutes and generally vary between $100 and $150 per session, although 90 minute sessions are also available for just $50 extra.

Facial treatment sessions cost between $80-$125 while a majority of hair and nail treatments cost under $50 per session. Gift certificates are also available to customers.

The day spa and hair salon invites all, men and women, boys and girls (children are always welcome) to indulge, relax and revitalize in a calm and soothing atmosphere that only luxurious spas in New York City offer.

“Day spa and hair salon customers that live in the Bronx no longer have to travel out of the borough to get high quality treatment with our new location,” said Frank Ojeda, make-up artist. “People in the Bronx love to spend their money, so why not let them spend it in the Bronx so that this borough’s luxury is maintained.”

“We have that (Park and Fifth avenues) luxury feel in our shop as well as the atrium here in the Bronx, without all of the inconveniences of traveling, tolls, train tickets and paid parking.”

The day spa is one of the more recent tenants of the atrium, a 360,000-square foot mixed-use complex featuring three floors of office, medical, retail and restaurant space that opened in 2014.

Nistreanu, who has also worked tenures at salons and spas in Manhattan along with running her two Tarrytown branches, has said that she is excited for the new opportunity to work as a business owner in a young, vibrant environment despite previous challenges.

“When I first started this business, I had a goal to succeed – but becoming a U.S. citizen and bringing my two children along with me was initially very tough,” said Tatiana, who came to the United States in 2005 after being born and raised in Moldova, an independent state of the dissolved Soviet Union. “However, my approach was that I had endless opportunities and everything to gain, so I started my own business and I ran with it.”

“The atrium is a great place for a business to operate and it feels great to have a new branch of my business that makes people happy in a new atmosphere.”
