Bronx River Art Center to offer fine arts classes

The Bronx River Art Center is offering:

Fine Arts Classes: Students explore their creativity in our fine arts classes of painting, printmaking, cartooning, mural making, and ceramics. During the summer only, BRAC offers a special variety of classes for youth ages 5 to 8.

Digital Media Classes: Students will approach of digital media ranging from digital photography, video, sound, and digital cartoon files. The Eco Media classes include one for children ages 6 to 12 working with a parent or guardian to create short film about the local natural environment.

Adult Classes: This summer adults will have to opportunity to participate in two different mixed media classes on Tuesday or Thursday evenings that will combine ceramics with painting and printmaking with digital photography. All experience levels are welcome.

BRAC also offers fee-based workshops for community groups. The Education Department can work with your group to design specialized workshops and gallery tours. Call (718) 589-5819 for group rates.

Registration for BRAC’s summer session is held in our 1st floor gallery space and runs July 6 to 11, Monday to Friday, 3 to 6 p.m. and Saturday, noon to 4:30 p.m. Call or visit their web-site at www.bronxriverart.org for further information.
