Permits have been filed for the construction of a 7-story residential building with 25 housing units at 885 Fox St. in the Woodstock neighborhood of the Bronx.

The proposed building would be 67 feet tall and yield 15,011 square feet of space. With an average unit scope of 600 square feet, the 25 residences will most likely be rentals.

A rear yard 17 feet in length is also planned for the property. Within close proximity to the property are the Hunts Point Avenue and Longwood Avenue subway stations, which each service the 6 train, as well as the Prospect Avenue, Intervale Avenue and Simpson Street subway stations, which service the 2 and 5 trains.

Bus stops are located near property for the Bx5, Bx6, Bx6-SBS, Bx17, Bx19 and Bx46 lines. Other notable nearby features include Bill Rainey Park, the Dawson Playground, the St. Athanasius School and the Longwood Academy of Discovery.

The building applications were submitted by Remzi Kurbogaj of R&A Remodeling LLC. The applications also list the architect of record as Chad Firmstone of C2B Architects.

Demolition permits were filed to take down the 3-story structure at 885 Fox St. in April. An estimated completion date for the new building’s construction has not yet been provided.
