Police need your help arresting a suspect wanted in connection to the homicide that happened outside an East Gun Hill Road deli.

According to 49th Precinct police, Tony Clark, 38, and Sylvester Paul, 46, got into a physical altercation inside a deli at 1450 E. Gun Hill Road on Monday, September 24 at 10:30 p.m. which then moved out onto the sidewalk in front of the store.

During this time, Clark allegedly entered a black sport utility vehicle and drove onto the sidewalk in an attempt to strike Paul.

Paul managed to avoid the vehicle and Clark fled the scene westbound on East Gun Hill Road.

At 11:30 p.m. that same night, Clark returned to 1450 E. Gun Hill Road where he allegedly confronted Paul and shot him in the chest.

Clark then fled the scene in an unknown direction.

Paul ran inside the deli where he asked for assistance.

He was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he succumbed to his injury.

No arrests have been made in this ongoing case.

Police describe Clark as a black male with short black hair standing at 6’1”, 180 pounds.

He was last seen wearing a black long sleeved shirt, black shorts and black sneakers.

Clark is known to frequent areas in the 40th Precinct which encompasses Port Morris, Mott Haven and Melrose.

Police have identifed Tony Clark as a suspect in the homicide.
