Permits have been filed for the construction of a 6-story residential building containing 25 housing units on the vacant lot at 285 Bonner Pl. in the Concourse Village neighborhood of the Bronx.

The proposed structure would be 56 feet tall and yield 29,057 square feet of space across the 25 units. With an average unit scope of 1,162 square feet, these residences will most likely be condos.

Other planned features of the property include a cellar 11 open parking spaces and a rear yard 22 feet long. The property is within close proximity to the Arcilla Playground, the Science and Technology Academy: A Mott Hall School, P.S. 35 Franz Siegel and Success Academy Charter School: Bronx 3 Elementary. There is access to multiple forms of mass transportation in the area, including from the Melrose train station, which services the Harlem line, as well as bus stops for the Bx6, Bx13 and Bx32 lines.

The applications for this building were submitted by Meer Ahmed. The listed architect of record is Badaly Engineering PLLC.

Since 285 Bonner Pl. is just a vacant lot, demolition permits likely will not be needed. It has not yet been announced when construction of the new building is expected to be completed.
