Carl Heastie speaks at Monroe College

On Thursday, October 29, Monroe College welcomed former adjunct professor and Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie, to deliver a lecture at the campus. Heastie addressed the challenges facing New York’s middle class and working poor families, while considering the long-term consequences of the state’s income and prosperity divide. Heastie, who taught at Monroe College from 2007-2014, received an award for his distinguished career in public service.
