Lehman softball star to attend Hunter

Domenica Regina, a senior and soon-to-be graduate from Herbert H. Lehman High School, has been a member of the girls softball team as pitcher for three years. Her first year ended as soon as it started with severe facial injuries which required reconstructive surgery and left her unable to play that season. But, she came back full force in her second year with 12 wins and 1 losses, and was given the honor of MVP that season. She ended this year with 14 wins and 4 losses.

Domenica is also an accomplished scholar. Through her perseverance in overcoming her obstacles, she also excelled academically, which earned her the salutatorian award for the College Preparatory House, and a social studies gold medal for Legal Studies. In addition, she was inducted into the ARISTA National Honor Society.

Domenica plans to attend Hunter College in the fall and will pursue a degree in Gallery Studies in the fall.
