42nd Precinct

Friday, January 18 at 12:40 p.m. — Cops got a report of a robbery in front of 1829 Boone Avenue. A 59-year-old man, the victim, was punched and kicked by two individuals who approached him from behind. The attack caused the victim to fall down on the ground. The two individuals took the victim’s wallet, which contained about $40 and identification, before fleeing. The victim suffered bruising, pain and cuts to his torso and head. EMS took the victim to St. Barnabas Hospital in stable condition. Both of the individuals are black men in their 20s or 30s who were last seen wearing all dark clothing.

Saturday, January 19 at 10:45 a.m. — Police received a report of an individual who entered a mobile communications store located at 1286 Southern Boulevard and committed a robbery. The individual sat and waited for 20 minutes for a sales clerk to finish with a customer. As the customer left, the individual got the employee’s attention and asked to see the phone. Once he was shown a phone, he proceeded to leave the retail location without paying. When the sales clerk pursued him, the individual motioned to his waistband and threatened to shoot her. No weapon was visible. A ‘person of interest’ in the incident is described by cops as a black man who is about 25 years of age and approximately 5’10”. He has a slender build and was last seen wearing a blue back pack and a dark colored jacket.

43rd Precinct

Monday, January 21 at 3:35 p.m — Police got a report of a robbery inside of a dollar store at 415 Soundview Avenue. An individual put seven pairs of headphones inside of his backpack while in the store. When a 27-year-old employee confronted the individual, he shoved her aside and told her to leave him alone. The individual walked out of the store without paying for the headphones. He then fled on a dark colored bicycled bicycle. Police are seeking the public help in identifying the individual. He is described as a Hispanic man who is 5’8”, weighs 170 pounds and has a goatee. He was last seen wearing black pants, black sneakers, a blue knit cap and a black hooded jacket.

46th Precinct

Tuesday, January 22 at 5:22 p.m.– Police are asking the public help in identifying a bank robber. An individual, described a Hispanic man who is approximately 5’8” with a medium build, entered a Chase branch at 5 W. Burnside Avenue and demanded cash in Spanish under the threat of injury by a gun. No firearm was visible during the robbery. This individual was able to leave the bank with $1000. A photo of the individual is provided on this page.

52nd Precinct

Sunday, January 13 at 5:50 a.m.– The NYPD is seeking the public’s help in identifying an individual wanted in connection with a robbery. An unknown man approached a 21-year-old woman in front of 3 W. Fordham Road and slapped her across the face. The individual then took $5 in cash from the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim refused medical attention. The individual is described as a Hispanic man who is in his early to mid 20s and between 5’6” to 5’8” in height. He has a medium build. A photo of the individual is provided on this page.
