Borough President Ruben Diaz, Jr. hosted his annual Back to School Literacy and Health Fair on Saturday, August 26 at Pablo Casals Middle School 181. Co-sponsored by Montefiore, 92.3 AMP Radio, Healthfirst, the event featured school supply and backpack giveaways courtesy of MetroPCS and FreshDirect; chess games provided by the Young Kings and Queens Chess Club and performances by New York University’s Ed Sullivan Fellows Program, Mind-Builders Creative Arts Center and Rob Salese and EC Salsero.
