More than 100 blind and visually impaired athletes from seven schools for the blind as far as Virginia and Massachusetts, tested their prowess in running, throwing and jumping events in the 2017 Eastern Athletic Association for the Blind Track and Field Tournament on Saturday, May 13 at New York Institute for Special Education.
Participating athletes ranging from 13 to 21-years-old hailed from NYISE, Maryland School for the Blind, Overbrook School for the Blind, Virginia School for the Deaf and Blind, Perkins School for the Blind, West Virginia School for the Blind and North Carolina School for the Blind.
