The 161st Street Business Improvement District unveiled two new baseball legends murals honoring Jackie Robinson and Mariano Rivera on Sunday, August 14 at 840 River Avenue. The Robinson mural was completed by muralist, Andre Trenier. The Mariano mural done by Danielle Mastrion replaced her original portrait of the New York Yankee closer which was recently destroyed. The new murals bring the River Avenue and 161st Street collection to a total of twelve baseball greats who have played in either the original Yankee Stadium or new stadium.

The crowd cheered as the new Jackie Robinson mural was unveiled.
