40th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 6:00 a.m. – 525 Jackson Ave. The victim of a shooting informed officials that he had been chased by several unknown males. The black male victim told investigators that he was chased by a group of males that were shooting at him. The victim was taken to Lincoln Medical Center where he was treated for bullet wounds to the stomach, back, wrist, and buttocks.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 10:55 p.m. – 455 Wales Ave. Quick responding police officers arrested the culprit who shot and killed the victim of a robbery. The victim died minutes after being shot during a livery cab robbery. Also recovered by investigators was the possible murder weapon.

MON, AUG. 24th, 10:00 p.m. – 696 Elton Ave. Three persons required medical attention after being attacked by the family dog. The dog bit a 6 year old girl besides a 7 year old brother in addition to their mother. All three victims were treated at Lincoln Medical Center.

TUES, AUG. 25th, 11:15 p.m. – 681 Courtlandt Ave. A Hispanic male was arrested after being found in possession of an unregistered handgun. This time police vouched a 45-caliber pistol.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 8:55 p.m. – East 144 St. Authorities indicated that another illegal weapon was removed by police from South Bronx streets. The gun was vouched for future court use.

41st PCT.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 9:40 a.m. – Police investigators are looking into the death of a five week old infant. Officials indicated that there does not seem to be any criminality connected to the death. Records indicate that the baby had been born prematurely and had additional health problems. Now, detectives have to wait for the Medical Examiner’s report on the cause of death.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 2:30 p.m. – 1087 Southern Blvd. A robbery of a local store netted the thief less than a thousand dollars. A 21 year old black male was found to be suffering from a bullet wound to the leg according to officials. The young man was treated at Lincoln Medical Center as investigators recovered a gun that was apparently used during the robbery.

WED, AUG. 26th, 6:00 p.m. – Intervale Ave. and Fox St. Police arrested a Hispanic male who illegally possessing a pistol. Removed from the male culprit was a 380-caliber pistol which was vouched by authorities.

FRI, AUG. 28th, 11:05 p.m. – 821 Longfellow Ave. Responding police officers assisted the wife of one of there own. Two black males attempted to rob a livery cab driver. One of the unknown culprits struck the cab driver in the head with an unknown object. The driver lost control of the vehicle striking the woman, a police officer’s wife. The woman was transported to Jacobi Medical Center. Responding EMS crews took the injured driver to Lincoln Medical Center. Investigators are looking for the two culprits.

42nd PCT.

TUES, AUG. 25th, 12:30 a.m. – Claremont Pkwy. and Webster Ave. Two black males were arrested shortly after committing an armed robbery. At gunpoint the pair robbed a 26 year old black male of his money, I-phone, and an unknown amount of jewelry. The weapon was recovered by officials, besides the pair was arrested.

TUES, AUG. 25th, 6:30 p.m. – 1700 Bathgate Ave. Another gun was taken off the street with two arrest being made. Vouched by the arresting police officer was a 9-mm semi-automatic pistol.

43rd PCT.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 3:30 a.m. – Stratford Ave. and Watson Ave. Authorities were alerted about a shooting by officials at Westchester Square Hospital. A teenager appeared at the medical facility 14 hours after being shot. Police officers were dispatched to the hospital at 5:30 p.m. They located a 19 year old boy who was suffering from a bullet wound to the leg.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 4:45 a.m. – Westchester Ave. and Manor Ave. A suspect was arrested after a shooting had occurred. Responding police officers not only arrested a suspect, but also recovered a weapon. The victim was taken to an area hospital for assistance.

WED, AUG. 26th, 11:20 p.m. – 1516 Beach Ave. Another gun was removed from Bronx streets. This time the seizure was made in the Sound View area with police vouching a 22-caliber pistol. The suspect was described as a 22 year old black male.

WED, AUG. 26th, 9:30 p.m. – One suspect was arrested by local police officers who nabbed the unidentified suspect with an illegal gun. Police officials vouched a 45-semi-automatic pistol.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 12:45 a.m. – A male along with a female became crime victims when a black male ambushed the pair. The couple were sitting inside a vehicle when approached by the unknown culprit. The black male forced the couple into a wooded area and proceeded to rape the female victim at gun point. The thief fled with the victim’s money besides their cell-phones.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 12:45 p.m. – 1851 Bruckner Blvd. State investigators trying to make an arrest accidentally discharged a weapon. Investigators from the NYS Tax Enforcement Squad were trying to grab several suspects when one of their guns discharged. No injuries were reported.

FRI, AUG. 28th, 4:25 a.m. – 1865 Bruckner Blvd. Authorities are looking for four masked males. The culprits robbed the local McDonald’s restaurant at gunpoint. No injuries were reported, however the bandits escaped with an unknown amount of money.

44th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 9:50 p.m. – 910 Sheridan Ave. Another hand gun was removed from streets in the Morrisania community. Officers assigned to local patrol duties arrested the suspect while recovering the weapon that was vouched for future court use.

WED, AUG. 26th, 4:00 p.m. – 1158 Gerard Ave. A city worker required medical assistance after being attacked while on the job. A traffic enforcement officer in the process of issuing a summons was pushed by an unidentified person. The city work was treated for a back injury at Lincoln Medical Center. Detectives are looking for the attacker.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 11:00 p.m. – 120 West 167 St. Emergency crews came to the assistance of a 53 year old black woman in the Highbridge section. The woman had been stabbed three times suffering wounds to the wrist, back, and eye areas. She was transported to Lincoln Medical Center for treatment of the various wounds.

45th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 2:30 p.m. – 1305 Herschell Ave. A male kept police at bay by holding his wife and child inside an apartment. Members of the police department’s Emergency Service Squad summoned the specialist from the Technical Assistance and Response Unit besides members of the Hostage Negotiation Team since the man was armed. After a while police officials got the man to open the door and surrender to waiting authorities without any injuries. The man was arrested and charged with endangering the welfare of a child.

SAT, AUG. 29th, 8:20 p.m. – 2210 Bartow Ave. Police are looking into an attack on a 15 year old boy that occurred in the Co-op City area. A Hispanic teen was slashed on the hand. The teen was transported to Jacobi Medical Center for care.

46th PCT.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 10:35 p.m. – Loring Place and West Burnside Ave. Authorities are looking into a shooting that sent a 19 year old youth to St. Barnabas Hospital. The Latino teen was suffering from a bullet wound to the leg. Local detectives have been assigned to conduct the inquiry.

47th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 12:05 a.m. – 1 East 233 St. Police officers were summoned to the quite community of Woodlawn after an attack was reported. Arriving officers requested local detectives to help obtain the facts concerning an incident that left one person stabbed and two others suffering from slash wounds to the hand area. The victims were treated by local medical experts as the sleuths attempted to obtain facts about the incident.

MON, AUG. 24th, 5:05 a.m. – 4431 Carpenter Ave. Officials started an inquiry into the death of an unidentified male. The male victim had been shot in the head, apparently causing his demise. Local detectives will conduct the investigation.

MON, AUG. 24th, 5:20 a.m. – 730 East 227 St. Police officers were dispatched to a home where a three month old baby girl was found unconscious. The infant was in a crib and officials indicated that the baby had an extensive medical history. Criminality was not expected in this case.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 8:20 p.m. – Baychester area. Under-cover police investigators arrested a suspect who had an illegal gun. The suspect could be facing a year in jail if found guilty during the court proceedings.

FRI, AUG. 28th, 1:55 p.m. – 3540 White Plains Rd. Additional police officers were redeployed into the Williamsbridge area after a male was reported to have a gun. Ranking police supervisors deployed the responding police officers into the area surrounding East Gun Hill Rd. so that a coordinated search could be conducted.

48th PCT.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 1:25 a.m. – 765 East 175 St. Authorities are looking into an incident that occurred in the East Tremont area. An unidentified female was transported to St. Barnabas Hospital after being stabbed. Police officers surveyed the area looking for potential witnesses.

MON, AUG. 24th, 1:50 a.m. – 735 East 179 St. Police investigators are looking into a shooting that sent a male to St. Barnabas Hospital. The victim was suffering from a bullet wound to the leg according to medical officials. Local detectives will handle the inquiry.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 11:35 a.m. – 820 East 180 St. Local detectives are looking into a reported incident where a shot had been fired. The bullet had been shot through a wall. The occupants escaped injury.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 12:45 p.m. – Quarry Rd. and Oak Tree Pl. Police nabbed a male who was in possession of an illegal gun right behind a neighborhood hospital. The suspect was in possession of a 380-caliber pistol when he was arrested in the rear of St. Barnabas Hospital.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 11:40 p.m. – Belmont Ave. and East 189 St. Officials indicated that no one was injured as results of shots being fired in the Belmont community. Responding police officers checked the area, but were unable to local any victims. Police did recover evidence that supported the original report.

FRI, AUG. 28th, 6:30 a.m. – 518 East 187 St. A male suspect was arrested as police officers removed another unregistered gun from local streets. This time in the Belmont community a suspect was nabbed who was in possession of an illegal gun.

49th PCT.

TUES, AUG. 25th, 3:40 a.m. – 1719 Wallace Ave. Police officers grabbed another person who was in possession of an illegal gun. This time recovered by patrol officers was a 380-semi-automatic pistol.

52nd PCT.

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 3:00 a.m. – Detectives from the Special Victims Squad are looking into a report that a female had been raped. The victim explained to investigators that she had passed out after attending a party. When she awoke, a male was in the process of raping the female victim.

MON, AUG. 24th, 11:15 p.m. – 2611 Sedgwick Ave. A suspect was arrested as police officers removed an unregistered gun from the culprit’s possession. Recovered by authorities was a 380-caliber revolver.

WED, AUG. 26th, 4:10 p.m. – 2510 Valentine Ave. Authorities are looking to question a Hispanic male. It’s reported that the unidentified male verbally threatened a traffic officer who was issuing a summons at the time.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 1:55 p.m. – 2305 Grand Ave. Local police officers requested the services of the highly trained officers from the Emergency Service Squad. An emotionally disturbed person was barricaded inside a fifth floor apartment house. Police experts were able to gain control of the 37 year old person after a two hour stand-off.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 9:45 p.m. – 2401 Davidson Ave. A 28 year old Hispanic male was arrested by local patrol officers. The man was in possession of an unlicensed handgun when nabbed by police. Recovered was a 45-caliber semi-automatic pistol.

Housing

SUN, AUG. 23rd, 12:25 a.m. – 648 Adee Ave. Police officers from Housing’s PSA # 8 have teamed up with detectives from the 49th Pct. to look into a shooting. The unidentified male victim was suffering from a bullet wound to the stomach area.

MON, AUG. 24th, 6:30 a.m. – 700 Morris Ave. Three persons were arrested by police officers from Housing’s PSA # 7 after one of the culprits were found with an illegal gun. The weapon was taken from the culprit’s possession and vouched for future court use before the gun is destroyed.

THURS, AUG. 27th, 9:00 p.m. – 520 East 137 St. Authorities from Housing’s PSA # 7 and the 40th Pct. Investigations Unit are looking into a report that a shot had been fired. After a search of the area it was determined that no one was injured.
