Permits have been filed for the construction of a 7-story residential building with 47 housing units on the vacant lot at 1143 Hoe Ave. in the Crotona Park East section of the Bronx.

The proposed building would be 65 feet tall and yield 29,737 square feet of space across the 47 units. With an average unit scope of 632 square feet, these residences will most likely be rentals.

A rear yard stretching 20 feet in length is also planned for the property. Schools within close proximity to the property include P.S. 150 Charles James Fox and St. John Chrysostom School. Longfellow Playground, Field of Dreams Court and Steven Dougwillo Park are also nearby. There are multiple bus stops in the area for the Bx4, Bx19, Bx27, Bx35 and Bx4A lines.

The building applications were submitted by Yonah Grunhut of Grun Group LLC. The architect of record is listed as Nikolai Katz.

Demolition permits likely will not be needed for the property, as 1143 Hoe Ave. is currently just a vacant lot. An estimated completion date for the new building’s construction has not yet been provided.
